Privacy and Security
At MyExpatShop, we're careful to protect your privacy and security. In modern systems, storing the least information necessary is one of the best ways for us to do that.
Although our system needs to store your name, e-mail, etc., for the purpose of dealing with your orders as well as to avoid you re-entering it everytime you shop, no part of that information is ever revealed, exchanged or sold to third parties.
Customer information is kept on our system unless we're asked to remove it, which we will do immediately.
Any on-line type payment systems such as e-banking, are third party systems. We do not have access to, and therefore no possibility to store, any of the information you provide during the use of any such systems.
When you select a payment method, our system retains only a simple code which tells us how to deal with that particular order. Any information that may become available to us through such means as payment by postal Giro payment slip, etc., is not entered in our system. We retain only the fact that payment has been made.
We prefer low-key business practices and so we don't inundate you with mailing, "great news", etc., that is all on the site itself. However, we will keep you up to date on changes to our system that may affect you and we do send out news letters from time to time to alert you to such items as exceptional sales, upcoming events such as exhibitions, etc. In short, we will not flood you with sales material and will not give others the chance to do so either.
